How does it work?

The core of our STEM Club is our teenagers. They are  the stars inner film. The club consists of two major programmes:

Autonomy  programme. Younger kids (aged 13 to17) organize activities, workshops, trips and the day-to day of the club. By managing their own activities, the kids will learn the meaning of responsibility for the future.

Mentor programme. Our former students (University students, graduates and post-graduates) help younger teens in their research, so they become Mentors. Our Mentors have a deep knowledge of topics like Astronomy, Biology, Code, Technology, Chemistry or Health, but they need to be taught how to work with kids through Inquiry Based Learning in a non-formal way. Therefore, teachers help our mentors in this new role. Formative sessions are held twice a year (over weekends).

Inquiry-based learning methodology is provided to help students answer their own questions and meet challenges. Therefore, teachers just indirectly suggest different steps so that the students can learn to organize STEM Club activities.
